Sometimes a simple image can turn into so much more. I captured this image on a pot in our back yard in Alabama with my cellphone and it has become one of my favorites.

Throughout the Badlands of South Dakota, you would have a hard time finding shade. When you do, it is often in the form of a single tree standing tall in the middle of a wind swept field.

Whie walking at Dixon Waterfowl Refuge, my wife noticed this opposum in a tree. He was holding perfect still and almost seemed as though he was enjoying the sunset with us.
This image was captured at Banner Marsh near Canton, IL. The purple sunrise was the perfect backdrop for these swans in flight.
This bridge is in a farmers field in Peoria County in Illinois. We were driving to the apple orchard and saw this off the road. I immediately knew it would be a black and white image even though it was fall and the colors were bright.
